Poor State Of Cape Palmas High May Hamper Reopening
By John Bropleh, LINA

MONROVIA, August 10 (LINA) -All 400 students of the Cape Palmas High School in Harper, Maryland County, may not continue their studies when schools reopen in September due to the deplorable condition of its facilities.

Principal Barbayon Bartue said due to its declining state, the school building was abandoned early this year to be renovated.

Disclosing this Saturday to the Liberia News Agency, Bartue, who is currently visiting Monrovia, displayed a letter written to him by the Ministry of Education stating that the renovation would have started in June and end in November.

But, the principal disclosed that up to present renovation work on the building is yet to commence.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bartue has appealed to the county Legislative Caucus to intervene to fast-track the renovation of the school.
