Kolahun Commissioner Stresses Road Upgrade
By Ballah M. Kollie, LINA
MONROVIA, August 4 (LINA) – Kolahun District Commissioner Morris Tamba says unless urgent measures are taken to rehabilitate the Voinjama-Kolahun road in Lofa County, the district could get cut off as critical spots along the route are already hindering free movement.
He noted that with just three months into the rainy season, the deplorable state of the road is preventing motorists from using it for fear of damaging their vehicles.
“Currently, I am told that with the exception of motorcycle, very few cars come to Kolahun, owing to the poor state of the road,” he stressed.
Commissioner Tamba, who spoke to The Liberia News Agency from his sick bed, said the rehabilitation of farm-to-market roads will support farmers in accessing markets to vend their produce.
