45 Cases On Docket of 10th Judicial Circuit Court

By Korboi Gbelewala, Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, Feb 23 (LINA) – There are 45 cases on the docket of  the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Voinjama city, Lofa County, for the February 2014 Term of Court.

The cases include statutory rape, murder, criminal mischief, terroristic threat, misapplication of entrusted property, burglary, rioting and criminal facilitation.

Others include aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit rape, and disorderly conduct, among others.

Most of the cases were filed in the court in 2012 and 2013, Clerk Francis Akoi told the Liberia News Agency during the week in Voinjama.

He said most of the cases brought to the court in 2012 were delayed due to the failure of complainants to follow-up their cases.

He said the court in its February 2014 term will ensure that these cases are swiftly and properly adjudicated.

Clerk Akoi said the court is not interested in keeping cases beyond the statutory four terms of court, adding that such cases would be thrown out as provided for under the law.
