Union Vows To Arrest Underage Motorcyclists
By Johnson Bobby Liway, LINA Grand Bassa County Correspondent

BUCHANAN, July 29 (LINA) – An official of the Motorcyclists Union Buchanan branch has vowed to arrest and turn over to authorities underage motorcyclists plying the streets, communities and districts of Grand Bassa County.

The Union’s vice president for operations, Victor Joe, made the vow Wednesday on the Fairground in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County in an interview with the Liberia News Agency.

He said underage riders are causing fatal accidents that have claimed lives and caused property damage, and stressed that the union’s security team will leave no stone unturned to ensure that bike riding minors leave the streets.

He pointed out that henceforth all motorcyclists will be compelled to provide voter ID cards or other valid documents to convince the union that they are not underage.

Joe warned underage riders and owners of motorbikes that their motorbikes will be impounded and they themselves forwarded to the Traffic Court for prosecution.
