GBARNGA, July 22 (LINA) - Police in Gbarnga have charged and sent to court a 27-year-old man for alleged manslaughter.

Emmanuel Kerkulah was charged recently following police preliminary investigation for allegedly killing 16-year-old Victor Roberts.

The incident occurred Thursday morning in the Demen-ta road Community in Gbarnga.

The acting chief of the Crime Services Department of the Bong County Police detachment, Kelenso Flomo told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) that suspect Kerkulah was charged after he admitted to committing the crime during and also based on testimonies from eye-witnesses.

According to him, Kerkulah admitted that it was during a fight with the deceased that he became unconscious and was later pronounced dead at the Phebe Hospital.

Flomo said Kerkulah told the police that the confusion erupted when he attempted preventing the deceased from entering the ‘play station’ booth in his school uniform.
