ROBERTSPORT, Feb 22 (LINA) - Grand Cape Mount County authorities have deployed security officers at health facilities in the county to avoid looting and destruction by criminals.
Assistant Superintendent for Development, Tenneh Simpson Kpedebah, said it was important for government to provide maximum security at all health centers in the county while they are abandoned by striking health workers.
Superintendent Kpedebah made the disclosure Thursday in an interview with the Liberia News Agency Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent.
She warned that anyone found loitering around health facilities while health workers are on strike will be arrested and sent to court for prosecution.
Meanwhile, Madam Kpedebah has disclosed that the county administration is holding consultations with health workers to return to work in the supreme interest of the citizens.
Superintendent Kpedebah said the immediate return to work by the workers will help to save the lives of many citizens who may be ill during the strike action.
