City Mayor Donates To Muslims In 12 Bomi Towns
By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, July 9 (LINA) – Tubmanburg City Mayor Rebecca Benson has donated assorted food items to Muslims from 12 towns in Weawolo Clan, Tehr District in Bomi County in observance of the month of Ramadan.

Presenting the items in Weawolo Clan recently, Mayor Benson said the donation was her way of identifying with Muslim brothers and sisters who are observing the Ramadan in the district.

The items include 10 bags of 25kg rice, a bag of sugar, a carton of tea, among others. She did not say the cost of the items.

Benson hoped the donation will help them adequately observe the fast month and enhance their concentration on the holy month of Ramadan and urged them to pray for peace and stability in the nation.

Receiving the items on behalf of the “Muslim Association of Weawolo Clan”, Chief Imam Musa Cooper thanked Mayor Benson for the gesture and called on other prominent Bomi citizens to emulate her good examples.
