GBARNGA, July 7 (LINA) - Bong County Superintendent Selena Polson Mappy has urged the newly-inducted commissioner of Panta District to exercise loyalty and commitment to the county and to the government’s development agenda in the discharge of her duties.
Superintendent Mappy also admonished Commissioner Dakeh Paye to build strong relationship with the citizens and share knowledge of activities with them in the development of the district.
She urged the Commissioner to work with traditional leaders in sharing the responsibility of developing and maintaining peace in Panta District and called on her to avoid listening to gossips if she is to succeed in developing the county.
Supt. Mappy made the call in Foiquelleh, Panta District recently when she officially inducted Commissioner Paye into office as Commissioner of the district.
Responding, Commissioner Paye pledged her unflinching commitment to work in uniting the citizens to strengthen development in the district, noting that it is challenging to assume such a post, especially at a time that the reform process of national development is taking a new trend.
She urged citizens of Panta to see government’s development plans as a historic opportunity for better service delivery to the District of Panta and admonished them to take ownership of the process.
