By D .Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, July 4 (LINA) -The manager of Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI) Grand Cape Mount County branch, Steven Konneh, has disclosed that banking activities in the county is at “a very slow pace.”

Konneh told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Robertsport Friday that since the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the county, many of the citizens are now saving their money at home instead of the bank.

He noted that this is hampering the smooth operation of the bank and therefore called on citizens of the county to utilize the banking system which is the safest way to keep their money.

The LBDI branch manager said besides government employees, the bank has low number customers in other sectors, making it difficult for the bank to achieve its goals.
