ZWEDRU, July 2 (LINA) – German Agro Action (GAA) Zwedru Office Administrator has challenged citizens of Grand Gedeh County to cultivate the culture of peace-building if Liberia must succeed in national development.
Mr. Randolph T. Saydee made the remarks when he served as keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony of 58 students of the Zwedru Secretarial Science Institute (SSI) who received certificate in Computer Science and Professional Driving.
He admonished the graduates to build peace in their interaction with each other as they have moved one step forward, noting that computer literacy is the gateway to the modern job market.
“This opportunity which has been given you, when maintained will help lessen the job burden encountered by you in the past. You lost job opportunities daily for not being computer literate,” Saydee noted.
The GAA administrator urged the graduates use the skills acquired to forge the culture of peace and unity at their various work places in order to move the county forward and to mend the broken fences that has kept the country behind.
Of the 58 graduates, 32 received certificates in Computer Science while 26 got certificated in Professional Driving.
Meanwhile, the SSI Chief Executive Officer has disclosed that the institute, which was established in 2013 in Kanweaken, River Gee County, has graduated over 700 persons from River Gee, Maryland and Grand Gedeh Counties.
