Gedeh Health Workers To Get Housing Units

By Chris Nyenapee, LINA Grand Gedeh County Correspondent

ZWEDRU, July 1(LINA) - Grand Gedeh County Health Services Administrator, Eugenia Huntington, has disclosed thaqt the Health Ministry is constructing of six-room housing units at health centers and clinics across the county.

Huntington told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in an interview that the units are part of incentives from the Ministry to attract qualified health practitioners to facilities in remote areas across the county.

Following a tour of health facilities, Huntington said the move is gaining ground as the Ministry of Health through the local health authority and with the support of the citizens is constructing the housing units.

She described the erection of the housing units as a positive support to health workers as it will motivate them to put more interest in their daily outputs at their assigned health centers as other incentives are being sought by the ministry.

She commended the citizens for their support to the county’s leadership in constructing the housing units; adding, “This signifies the willingness of the people to ensure that their county is safe, secure and healthy.”
