Govt. Begins Tubmanburg, Gbarpolu Road Ipgrade

TUBMANBURG, June 29 (LINA) - Rehabilitation works on the road connecting Tubmanburg, Bomi County and Gbarpolu County has begun in the western part of the country.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in Tubmanburg over the weekend, Bomi County Superintendent Samuel Brown said the rehabilitation work is being carried out by the Ministry of Public Works (MPW).

Superintendent Brown told LINA that the Ministry of Public Works will construct one of the major bridges linking both counties that was damaged about a year ago.

He said the damaged bridge cut off the road and making traveling for the people in that part of the region difficult.

Brown said he has been assured by officials Public Works that the rehabilitation of the road and construction of the bridge will be completed within one month as engineers are working daily to ensure that the work is completed on time.
