Djibouti Celebrates 38th Independence Day

MONROVIA, June 26 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of Djibouti on the occasion marking the 38th Independence Anniversary of that country on June 27.

In her message to President Ismail Omar Gulleh, President Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name and noted that as the people of Djibouti celebrate another millstone in their existence as an independent nation.

A Ministry of Foreign Affairs release said the Liberian leader expressed the hope that their two countries would continue to collaborate in the promotion of international peace, economic integration and social development.

President Sirleaf assured President Omar Gulleh of her government’s determination to continue to strengthen the cordial relations subsisting between their two countries to the mutual benefit of their respective peoples.

The President then prayed that the Almighty God continues to endow President Omar Gulleh with wisdom as he leads his nation on the path to peace and economic stability.
