Barconee Youths To Raise US$3k For Clinic

By Johnson Bobby Liway, LINA Grand Bassa County Correspondent

BUCHANAN, June 24 (LINA) – The Chairman of Barconee Youth Development Association (BYDA), Emmanuel Kieh, says the association in collaboration with youths of Barconee has embarked on a US$3,000 fundraising campaign for the Barconee Clinic.

Making the disclosure to the Liberia News Agency in Buchanan Wednesday, Kieh said the funds are needed to begin a First Aid emergency operation at the clinic to help save lives during the rainy season.

Kieh revealed that besides their own initiative, the Association has also written companies, the county’s authorities, businesses and prominent citizens to buttress their efforts in ensuring that the money is raised to open a First Aid department at the clinic.

Barconee is an area that contains 15 communities situated in Electoral District # 5 in Grand Bassa County, about 112 miles from the port city of Buchanan.
