Criminals Burglarize Two Schools in Harper
By John Bropleh, Maryland County Correspondent

HARPER, Feb 19 (LINA) -Unknown persons have burglarized two public schools in Harper, the provincial capital of Maryland County, the school masters of the affected institutions have disclosed.

The schools are the Agnes Thompson Kindergarten and Elementary School and
Nathan Barnes Kindergarten, Elementary and Junior High School.

Principal Francina Gaysin of Agnes Thompson Elementary School told the Liberia News Agency Tuesday that benches and recent supplies of stationery from the Ministry of Education were carted away by the thieves.

For her part, Principal Alice Collins of the Nathan Barnes Kindergarten and
Elementary School said some of the chairs donated recently by the Maryland County Reunion Group were taken away by the burglars.

Meanwhile, the two principals are calling on the Liberia National Police and the UNMIL Police Contingent in the city to intensify their night patrols, so as to curb criminal activities in the area.
