Cape Palmas High Students Appeal To Education Minister
By John Bropleh, LINA Maryland County Correspondent

MONROVIA, June 18 (LINA) - Students of the Cape Palmas High School in Harper, Maryland County, have appealed to Education Minister George Warner to find a permanent solution to the deplorable condition of their school.

The students told Minister Warner that their school needs rehabilitation to create a conductive learning environment.

According to the Principal of the school, Barbayon Bartue, the students made the request Wednesday when Minister Warner, who is currently on a tour of southeastern Liberia met with them at the Harper City Hall.

Bartue told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) in a telephone interview that the students outlined several other basic needs that will help upgrade the standard of the school.

They called for a science laboratory, library and computers, among others, he said.

The students told the Education Minister that provision of these facilities will encourage many of them to venture into the sciences.
