By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent
ROBERTSPORT, June 8 (LINA) - The Chairperson of the Grand Cape Mount County Project Management Committee (PMC), Varney Pusah, has said the PMC has resumed work to complete key projects halted due to the Ebola outbreak.
Making the disclosure during a tour of project sites Sunday, Pusah said funds to complete six clinics were released from the County Development Fund (CDF), while those for the three major bridges have come from the Japanese Government.
Pusah said the bridges are located in Tallah, Commonwealth District; Tewor and Porkpa Districts, while the six clinics are in Jaaja Town, Garwula District; Vaikanway, Butter Hill and Bamballa in Porkpa District; Sewu in Tewor District and Gondo Town in Gola Konneh District.
The PMC chairman explained that all of the projects started in January of 2014 but were put on hold when the Ebola virus struck the country in March 2014.
He admonished citizens of the communities hosting these projects to refrain from vices that have the potential to stall progress.
