VAHUN, Feb 18 (LINA) -There was jubilation in the provincial city of Vahun in Lofa County on Tuesday when President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf visited that part of the country for the first time.
The President’s visit to the district marked the first by a Liberian president since the late President William R. Tolbert visited the area in the late 1970s.
Before her arrival in Vahun, the President dedicated a multi-purpose building in Kolahun, which was recently constructed by the Mbolahun Mission Alumni Association in Kolahun District.
The building is expected to host a library as well as a dormitory for students attending the Mbolahun Mission School.
According to the Liberia News Agency, the Liberian Leader is also expected to inspect a US$2.5 million mini-complex, which is to be completed before the end of 2014 by the Liberian Government, with funding from the World Bank as part of several projects earmarked by the Lofa County officials, to be implemented by 2014.
