Lofa Police Chief Pledges Support To County Health Team

By Korboi K. Gbelewala, LINA Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, June 1 (LINA) - Lofa County Police Commander has pledged the institution’s continued support to the County Health Team (CHT) and other health practitioners during the post-Ebola period.

J. Tito Lolin noted that as part of the post-Ebola recovery plan, he has instructed security agencies to place buckets containing chlorinated water at various check points to ensure that travelers wash their hands before entering or leaving the county.

The Lofa police chief made the statement in Voinjama recently at programs marking the end of a three-day post-Ebola visit of Liberia’s Chief Medical Officer-designate Dr. Francis N. Kateh.

Lolin stressed that the joint security was also supportive of the County Health Team during the height of the Ebola epidemic and will remain so even during this post-Ebola era.
