Pres. Sirleaf Congratulates Azerbaijan On 97th  Nat’l Day

MONROVIA, May 28 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Azerbaijan on the occasion commemorating the 97th Independence Anniversary.

In her message to President Iiham Aliyev, President Sirleaf, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.

The message continues that as the people of Azerbaijan commemorate this historic occasion, it is her hope that President Aliyev will continue to lead them to greater economic prosperity and peace.

She noted that as Liberia joins Azerbaijan in observing this auspicious occasion, it is her sincere wish that the cordial ties of friendship subsisting between Liberia and Azerbaijan will be strengthened for the mutual benefit for both countries.
