Speaker Tyler Urges Full Participation In Constitution Review
By Richard Stephens

MONROVIA, Feb 17 (LINA) -House Speaker Alex Tyler has said that the on-going constitution review process requires the involvement of all Liberians.

He said for a nation to attain its democratic credentials and development, it must have a constitution that reflects the aspirations of all citizens, and not just a few.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Speaker Tyler made the call Saturday at the Paynesville City Hall, when he served as keynote speaker and Chief Launcher at the official launch of the CRC Civic Education program.

The Bomi County Representative has meanwhile praised members of the Constitution Review Committee for the level of work they have done in a relatively short period of time.

He promised the National Legislature's fullest commitment to the work of the committee.

Earlier, CRC Chairperson Cllr. Gloria Scott commended the Government for the level of support it gave the committee during the past year.

She also praised the Committee's international partners for their support to the institution.

She underscored the need for Liberians to see the review process as a unique opportunity for them and their children.
