County Inspector Urges Youths To ‘Refrain From Early Sex’

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, May 16 (LINA) - Liberian youths have been called upon to “refrain from early sex” and focus on education to better prepare for an effective, efficient and productive future.

The Grand Cape Mount County Inspector, Eric Pinney, made the call when he spoke at a one-day UNMIL Sexual Exploitation and Abuse awareness campaign competition for the Robertsport and Episcopal High Schools Friday.

Pinney said sexual exploitation and human rights abuses need to be halted to promote decency in the society.

The County Inspector then called on female students to put aside their social activities and focus on their education to enable them compete with their male counterparts in academic activities.

Meanwhile, he has attributed the low number of girls in the education system to sexual exploitation and the abuse of human right.
