BUCHANAN, May 12 (LINA) – Grand Bassa County Superintendent Etweda Cooper has praised Liberian mothers for the care, support, protection and guidance given to their children in critical times, like the Ebola crisis.
She said this requires that all Liberians praise, love, care and pray for their mothers whether alive or dead.
She also told Christians that during creation, woman was the best creature that God made on the face of the earth.
Supt. Cooper was speaking at the St. Peter Catholic Church in Buchanan during a souvenir program organized by the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) in commemoration of ‘Mothers’ Day’.
She told the congregation that “when God had created all things, the last He created was Eve, whom He gave wisdom; He gave her the audacity to do things for her children.”
“I don’t care how old you can be, whether you have grand children or not you are still mama’s baby and as long as she lives, she will keep blessing you endlessly,” she added.
Cooper thanked the people of Bassa in particular and Liberia at large for the level of precautionary measures taken during the Ebola crisis and consoled all those that lost their relatives and loved ones at the height of the epidemic.
“God knows why, we cannot question His doings and today as we are declared Ebola free, let us still be careful how we move around, do those same things like washing hands and let’s pray for our neighbors to also pass the test, then we are 100% free”, she concluded.
