ZWEDRU, April 30 (LINA) - Zwedru City Mayor Rita Kai is appealing to the United States Government to help upgrade the vocational department of the Zwedru Multilateral High School (ZMHS), which has been dormant for years.
The City Mayor made the appeal to U.S. Ambassador Debora Malac in Zwedru recently during the dedication ceremony of the American Corner Library on the main campus of the school.
The program was attended by an array of officials of the county, including Superintendent Peter Solo, civil society, youth and student groups.
In remarks at the ceremony, the Vice President for Administration at the Gedeh Community College, Mr. Bestman Charpy, appealed to Ambassador Malac to help upgrade the institution from associate degree level to full degree program.
In response, the U.S. Ambassador promised to forward the requests to the requisite American authorities for consideration.
