Cape Mount CHT Appeals For Aid To Ebola Orphans

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, April 30 (LINA) - The head of Grand Cape Mount County Health Team, Dr. Loraine Cooper, is appealing to government, local and international partners and communities to provide support to the 300 Ebola orphans in Grand Cape Mount County.

Dr. Cooper said the orphans, 149 girls and 151 boys, are in dire need of food, medicine and education to improve their living condition.

According to the Liberia News Agency correspondent in the county, Dr. Cooper made the appeal in Robertsport during a one-day joint Ebola health meeting organized by local authorities of Bomi and Grand Cape Mount counties recently.

Dr. Cooper stressed the need for non-governmental organizations operating in the country to formulate strategies to help cater to the health, educational and nutritional needs of Ebola orphans across the country.
