MOE To Launch Curriculum Guide In Bong County April 29
By Decontee M. Wesseh, LINA

MONROVIA, April 28 (LINA) -The Ministry of Education (MOE) is to launch a curriculum guide in Bong County for teachers across the country on Wednesday, April 29.

Making the disclosure at the Ministry of Information daily press briefing in Monrovia Tuesday, Assistant Education Minister Felecia D. Somah said the guide is meant to empower trained teachers and principals as well as those that are not trained to remain on the right path of impacting students.

“This is a year round campaign and the last week in April was selected to launch the curriculum guard,” Somah indicated, adding that the MOE needs a lot of programs for teachers to create a safe learning environment for children.

According to Somah, the ministry is creating awareness that would enable parents and all stakeholders to know that investment in their children’s education is an investment in their future.

She noted that parents making the right choice and investing in their children helps to limit the security problems in the country, adding, “we are also making sure to replace ourselves in the society.”

“If we do not sow the right seeds or invest properly in our children, we will not be able to get the right results that we want from them,” she said.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Education Minister has disclosed that the ministry has planned a symposium that will begin next week to gather teachers and principals in various communities for training.
