Upper House Names Its Reps To ECOWAS Parliament

MONROVIA, April 23 (LINA) -The Liberian Senate has named its representatives to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament.

In a letter to House Speaker J. Alex Tyler, the Secretary of the Liberian Senate, Nanborlor Sengbeh, named those selected as Senators Prince Y. Johnson of Nimba County and George M. Weah of Montserrado County.

Sengbeh in the communication dated April 21 and read in session on Thursday, April 23, stated: “By directive of the Liberian Senate, I have the honor to forward herewith the names of the Liberian Senate Representatives to the ECOWAS Parliament for subsequent transmission to that august body.”

Plenary noted the communication following its reading.
