Liberians Challenged To Remain Steadfast In Ebola Fight

By Richard D. Baysah, LINA Margibi County Correspondent

KAKATA, April 22 (LINA) - The Acting County Health Officer of Margibi County is cautioning Liberians to remain steadfast in the fight against the Ebola virus and disclosed that the county has gone well over 40 days without reports of any new Ebola cases.

Dr. Adolphus Yeiah said until Liberia can be pronounced Ebola free, Liberians must be cognizant that the virus is still around and must do away with complacency because the fight against the virus is not yet over.

Giving a summary of the total deaths since the outbreak of the virus in Margibi County, he told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) that since March 2014 through the April 9, 2015, Margibi County recorded a total of 1,007 persons who have died from the disease.

He said the total number of people that survived from the deadly disease in the county is 333.
