GOAL Donates To Female Students In Salayea

By Korboi K. Gbelewala, LINA Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, March 31(LINA) - Girls Opportunity Access of Liberia (GOAL) has donated several non-food items to female students of the Gorlu Public School in Salayea District, Lofa County.

The materials, including copy books, pens, pencils, book bags, uniforms, tooth paste and hair grease, are intended to encourage female students to pursue their academic studies without interruption.

Making the donation Monday in Gorlu Town, GOAL Field Officer Jeremiah Karliffa said the donation was his organization’s way of promoting and encouraging female students to go to school.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Mr. Karliffa encouraged the beneficiaries to focus on their lesson and do away with vices that have the propensity to undermine their future.

In remarks, the Principal of the Gorlu Public School, Mr. Mathew Gahndolo, thanked GOAL for the gesture and the concern shown in promoting girls education in the country.

Mr. Gahndolo urged the female students to take their studies seriously to encourage GOAL and other donors to do more for them.
