MoE To Distribute 3.8m Learning Materials Next Month

By Decontee M. Wesseh, LINA

MONROVIA, March 19 (LINA) – The Ministry of Education (MoE) will begin distributing 3.8 million learning materials to schools throughout the country next month, according to an official of the ministry.

MoE Project Director David W. Basay said one million text books are earmarked for grades 5-9, while 1.3 million readers for grades 1-4 and over 1.5 million instructional materials for grades 1-9.

Basay made the disclosure at the Ministry of Information daily press briefing in MonroviaThursday.

He noted that the training of 2,560 school principals and school management teams has been completed and accounts opened for the disbursement of direct school grants to public basic education schools.

“We want to make sure that those textbooks go with the school curriculum and our kids can now relate to what they read,” Basay said.
