Margibi Court Hearing Murder Case

KAKATA, March 18 (LINA) - The 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Kakata, Margibi County has begun hearing into a murder case involving three persons who allegedly killed one Emmanuel Cooper.
The defendants being tried for murder and criminal conspiracy are Gayflor Beyan and Mark Varney, while the third accused Sylvester Beyan is on the run.
The three on September 8, 2012 allegedly murdered the victim while on his way home from sawing timbers to construct a school in his home town Salata Village in Cinta Township on the Kakata-Weala highway.
According to court records, the accused allegedly made away with Cooper’s power saw.
When the indictment was read in court, Gayflor Beyan pleaded guilty to the crime but defendant Mark Varney pleaded not guilty.
The State is being represented by Margibi County acting Attorney, Isaac L. George, while the defendants are represented by the Public Defender of Margibi County, Attorney M. Klon Nyangbe.
