Court In Lofa Sends Four To Jail For Rape, Burglary

VOINJAMA, March 17 (LINA) - The 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Lofa County has sentenced four persons to imprisonment for rape, burglary and criminal facilitation.
Fayah Borbor was sentenced to 10 years for Statutory Rape he committed in Foya in 2013, while Mathew Dorbor, Junior Ballah and Boima Harris were sentenced to five years each for burglary and criminal facilitation.
The verdicts against the convicts were handed down by Resident Judge Nancy Sammy recently after heated debates between State Prosecutors and defense lawyers.
The men were charged and sent to Court by the Liberia National Police in 2013 and 2014 respectively after committing the crimes in the county.
They are to serve their sentences at the Voinjama Central Prison on the outskirts of Voinjama City in Lofa County.
