By Wellington G Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

GBAN, March 17 (LINA) -Nimba County District # 8 Representative Larry Younquoi and citizens of Gban Town have dedicated three projects valued at US$37,000.

The projects are a four-classroom annex to the Gban Primary School, a guest house in Gban Town and a transit center near the railway at the Ganta-Duo Junction about 5km from Ganta.

Speaking at the ceremony in Gban Monday, Representative Younquoi lauded the citizens for their efforts in ensuring that development takes place in the district, adding, “These projects would not have been successful without the ideas and cooperation of the locals.”

He noted that the annex and the transit center projects, which are valued at US$7,000, were part of several community development initiatives that have been undertaken by his office with support from the benefiting towns and villages.

Meanwhile, the guest house project worth US$30,000 was funded from the county’s Social Development Funds allotted to towns and villages that are directly affected by the operation of concessions in the county.
