Hospital Official Decries Spreading Lies To Create Disunity

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, March 16 (LINA) -The Administrator of the St. Timothy Government Hospital in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County, Aaron Massaley has cautioned Liberians to refrain from spreading misinformation that could create disunity in society.

Massaley’s statement comes in the wake of reports that the hospital was charging for services provided to patients.

He noted that the allegation is intended to damage the image of the hospital that is striving to go back to its pre-Ebola status.

Massaley also explained that under the Ministry of Health’s hospital regulations, all services should be free because government and its international partners are doing everything possible to keep the health sector functional.

He admonished Liberians to do away with fabricating lies that are intended to create confusion, disunity and discourage development.
