Citizens Of Senjeh Want Roads Upgraded Before Rains
By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent
TUBMANBURG, March 14 (LINA) - Citizens of Senjeh District, Bomi County are appealing to the national government to recondition major roads and damaged bridges in the district before the raining season.
District Commissioner James Karmoh told the Liberia News Agency that citizens have prevailed on the district’s leaders to approach central government to explain that the deplorable condition of roads and bridges is hindering the free movement of people and goods in the area.
Karmoh told LINA Friday that the road linking Beajah, Beafeni, Zohnbamon and Sackie Town is deplorable, making commercial drivers to either refuse to ply the route or hike the fares.
“If nothing is done to remedy the situation, soon the district will be totally cut-off from the rest of the county and the country, especially during the rainy season,” he stressed.
