Jackson Emphasizes Anti-Ebola Protocol Observance

By Hilary Vasco Wiagbe

MONROVIA, March 9 (LINA) - Acting Information Minister Isaac Jackson has reiterated calls for Liberians to continue to observe anti-Ebola protocols issued by the government and its partners.

Jackson stressed that despite the tremendous gains being made in containing the deadly disease, Liberians needed to stand tall and fight to stay at zero case, the Liberia News Agency reports.

He spoke Monday during the Information Ministry regular Ebola press briefing held at the Ministry in Monrovia.

Jackson emphasized that it will be in the interest of the country when people embrace the need to wash hands repeatedly, stay away from individuals with signs of the virus, take their temperature regularly and refuse to deal with dead bodies, among others.

He noted that while it is true that efforts of the government and its partners aimed at eradicating Ebola from Liberia are yielding fruitful results, all must observe the rules so as not to push the country back to the previous stage.
