Saah Joseph Gets US$1m To Buy Air Ambulance
By Robert Dixon/LINA

MONROVIA, March 9 (LINA) - Montserrado County Representative Saah Joseph has received a donation US$1 million from a United States-based organization preferring anonymity to help purchase an air ambulance worth US$5 million.

He disclosed that another unnamed American organization has assured him of assisting with US$500,000 were he to raise a matching US$500,000 towards the purchase of the air ambulance.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Joseph made the statement Monday at an intellectual forum organized by a group called “Forum for Democratic Reform (FODR)” on Ashmun Street in Monrovia.

Joseph further said he is due to pay a three-month visit to the United States in order to raise the remaining US$4 million for the air ambulance which, according to him, will immensely facilitate transporting patients, especially considering the deplorable road condition.

He lauded the Liberian people for the support given him during the fight against the deadly Ebola disease.
