Ebola Survivors Receive Donations In Lofa
By Korboi K Gbelewala, LINA Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, February 24 (LINA) - Ebola survivors and their families in 50 affected communities have begun receiving food and non-food items from the Lofa Women Initiative.
The materials, which are valued at US$24,000, include mattresses, blankets, rice, beans, buckets and hand sanitizers, among others.
Funds for the items are provided by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) through Plan Liberia and implemented by the Lofa Women Initiative.
The distribution of the items, which began at the weekend, is expected to take place in Voinjama, Quadou Gboni and Kolahun districts in Lofa County.
Speaking Monday in Barkedou Town, Quadou Gboni District, the Executive Director of the Lofa Women Initiative, Beatrice Mally, thanked SIDA for providing the funding and appealed to them to extend the gesture to other parts of Lofa County.
Mally is also calling on community members to encourage their colleagues who were affected by the virus to reunite and avoid discriminating against the victims of the virus who survived
