20 Women Get Business, Agric Certificate In Bong

By Ballah Kollie, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, January 25 (LINA) – Twenty women have been certificated after a seven-month intensive training in business and agriculture at the Gbarnga Women Center in Gbarnga, Bong County.

Bong County Agriculture Coordinator Monica Honoree challenged the graduates to “utilize every knowledge acquired” during the training sponsored by the Food and Enterprise Development (FED).

“Do not use your certificate as decoration but rather get to the soil to help us ensure our food security drive is successful,” she told the graduates.

Meanwhile, Honoree has dismissed claims by some farmers that government is not doing much to support their farming activities.

She wants farmers to make use of available loan granting and other agriculture financing programs to sustain their farming projects.
