By Comfort M. Johnson/LINA

MONROVIA January 22 (LINA) -Three Nigerians have been arrested and incarcerated at the Monrovia Central Prison pending trial for alleged possession and sale of narcotics drugs worth L$31,000.

Officers of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) arrested Francis Odimegwu, Mark Nwobi and John Okai in Sinkor on January 21 with 20 grams of marijuana, according to the Liberia News Agency.

A DEA charge sheet indicated that the DEA officers, accompanied by a Court Sheriff, seized 10 grams of marijuana valued at L$20,000 from Odimegwu and Okai and another 10 grams valued at LD$11,000 from Nwobi.

All the drugs seized were reportedly turned over to the Sheriff.

During preliminary investigation, the three men denied being drugs dealers.
