By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent
TUBMANBURG JANUARY 15(LINA) - Bomi County Taskforce on Ebola (BCTE) has agreed to construct a triage at Gbarjakieh, Klay District in Bomi
County for temperature monitoring of travelers going in and out of the county.
Triage is a system of dealing with (as patients) cases according to priority intended to maximize success.
During the BCTE regular meeting held at the Liberia Government Hospital in Tubmanburg on Tuesday, Superintendent Samuel Brown said the system is intended to screen and identify sick people coming from neighboring counties.
Superintendent Brown said instead of constructing the triage at Po River, International Organization for Migration (IOM) will construct it at Gbarjakieh.
He said it is necessary to construct the triage at the entrance of Bomi County from Grand Cape Mount County where new cases of Ebola are being reported.
He did not say how soon the construction will commence.
He said market days in the county will be targeted and monitored due to the large number of people who come to these markets to prevent another Ebola outbreak in the county.
According to the latest Health Ministry statistics Bomi County last recorded an Ebola case in over 21 days.
