By Wellington G. Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, January 12 (LINA) - The African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nimba County Community College (NCCC) to offer Bachelor’s Degrees in Mass Communication and English at the College.

NCCC President Dr. Yah Donlah Gono told the Liberia News Agency that the agreement will also cover capacity-building, faculty and student exchange programs.

Dr. Gono said the MOU signed between both institutions over the weekend will go into effect in September this year.

In a related development, Dr. Gono has disclosed that several months ago, the NCCC also signed an MOU with the North Dakota State University in the United States of America to exchange students, faculties and academic materials up to Bachelor’s and Master’s levels and Doctorate Degree in Philosophy.

Dr. Gono said the agreements are part of the college’s dream to upgrade the institution to a full-fledged university in the shortest possible time.

She pleaded with youths of the county and Liberians in general to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the NCCC in partnership with partners to acquire quality education.
