Technical Team Arrives To Fight Ebola In Cape Mount

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Grand Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, January 8 (LINA) - Assistant Health Minister Tolbert Nyenswah says the government has sent a six-man technical team to Grand Cape Mount County to beef up the strength of the local Ebola Taskforce in eradicating the virus from the county.

Nyenswah said the government’s decision to dispatch the team to the county is due to the constant outbreak of new Ebola cases and the need to curb the virus.

According to the Liberia News Agency’s correspondent in the county, Minister Nyenswah made the statement at the County Ebola Task Force coordination meeting in Robertsport Wednesday.

He pointed out that it is regrettable to note that while many counties are reporting zero cases, Grand Cape Mount County is still reporting fresh cases daily.

He told participants at the meeting that the six-man team will work with the County Health Team and local and international partners to jointly fight against the further spread of the virus.
