Nimba Official Urges Youths To Support Development Drive

By Wellington G Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, January 5 (LINA) –The newly-inducted Nimba County Development Superintendent, Dorr Cooper, has called on youths of the county to foster the development drive of the county.

Cooper said if the county is to achieve speedy growth and development, leaders of the county and citizens, especially youths, must welcome the policy of transformation.

He made the statement over the weekend when he was officially inducted into office as Assistant Superintendent for Development at the Administration Building in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.

He warned the young people of Nimba against ridiculing public officials in the local media and on social media networks.

Cooper urged the youth and student groups to exhibit societal responsiveness and refrain from being used as paid agents by politicians, challenging them to join efforts in developing the county.

Cooper served as Mayor of Ganta before his appointment by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as Assistant Superintendent for Development of the county.
