By Wellington Patrick, Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, Feb 3 (LINA) -Superintendent Christiana Dagadu has disclosed that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has committed funding to rehabilitate a minimum of 100 kilometers of roads in Nimba County.

Madam Dagadu said a company hired by USAID to design the road projects in Liberia, CDM International, met with the county administration on Saturday, February 1, and revealed that the USAID supported rural road projects in Nimba County have been awarded to a Liberian company known as Twenty-First Century.

The road rehabilitation project is expected to kick-off late February, Superintendent Dagadu told reporters in Sanniquellie at the weekend.

The roads earmarked for rehabilitation under the USAID project are the Bahn to Payee, Zoulay to Duanpea, among others.

Superintendent Dagadu added that the USAID support is intended to grant residents access to the Food Enterprise Development (FED) sponsored farm projects in the county.
