ROBERTSPORT, December 11 (LINA) -African Union Support to Ebola Outbreak in West Africa (ASEOWA), an affiliate of the African Union (AU), has donated a 45 KVA generator valued at US$15,000 to the St. Timothy Government hospital in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County.

Presenting the generator to the county administration Wednesday in Robertsport, ASEOWA Country Representative Dr. Julius Oketa, said the
donation was his organization’s way of identifying with the hospital
to intensify its fight against the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.

Dr. Oketa disclosed that besides material support, the organization will also develop the human capacity of the nation’s health sector, adding, “AU is adequately prepared to buttress government’s initiatives in the war against Ebola.”

Receiving the donation, the Superintendent of Grand Cape Mount County, Imam Mohammed A. Paasewe, and the County Health Officer, Dr. Loraine
Cooper, thanked ASEOWA and AU for the donation, and assured that it will be used in the fight against Ebola.
