Superintendent-designate Vows To Unite Sinoe Tribes

By Calvin Brooks/LINA

MONROVIA, December 9 (LINA) - The Sinoe County Assistant Superintendent for Development-designate has vowed to reconcile the tribes of the county.

Sneh Johnson noted that the people of Sinoe County were never divided on tribal lines prior to the Liberian civil conflict, noting that the tribal conflict that has engulfed the county has its root in the protracted civil war.

Johnson made the vow Monday in an interview with legislative reporters following his confirmation hearing before the Senate Committee on Internal Affairs at the Capitol Building in Monrovia.

Johnson said if confirmed, reconciliation will be one of his priorities to ensure speedy socio- economic development of the county and the improvement of the living condition of the people.
