LNRCS Official Decries Migration Of People
By David Pamas Seedee, Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, December 5 (LINA) –The Field Officer of the National Red Cross Society (LNRCS), Zinnah Quaye, has said until Liberians stop migrating from one place to another and avoid accepting strangers in their towns and villages, Ebola will continue to plague Liberia.

Quaye pointed out that the speed at which the virus is spreading  across the country can be attributed largely to the migration of people from one place to another after they have contracted the Ebola virus.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Tubmanburg recently, the LNRCS Field Officer said the continuous refusal of citizens of the county to report sick people to the Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) is also one of the major challenges in the fight against the Ebola virus.

Quaye called on Liberians to continue to observe the Ebola preventive measures put in place by the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare to ensure that the virus is eradicated from Bomi County and
Liberia as a whole.

Meanwhile, Quaye has attributed the drastic reduction in the number of Ebola cases to the level of awareness and support as well as the distribution of disinfectants by his organization and other partners.
