MONROVIA, December 05 (LINA) - The Speaker of the House of Representatives J. Alex Tyler has assured that Liberians will benefit from revenue generated from oil production in the country.

“Our destination is now in sight, and together, we shall arrive there triumphantly, Speaker Tyler added.

The Speaker made the statement at a program marking the end of the National Validation Conference on the Draft Petroleum Act and the Draft National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) Act of 2013 under the auspices of the 53rd National Legislature held at the Monrovia City Hall Friday.

Tyler emphasized that after the validation of the final draft of the two Acts by  the  stakeholders, it would be presented in January 2015 for passage by the Legislature and subsequently signed into law by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Meanwhile, the Vice President for Public Affairs at NOCAL, Lamini Waritay, expressed gratitude to the Legislature for the nationwide consultation for the Draft Petroleum Act and the NOCAL Act.
