VOINJAMA, November 28 (LINA) -An official of the Lofa County Health Team (LCHT) has disclosed that for over 21 days now no new confirmed Ebola
case has been recorded at the Foya Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU).

The Lofa County Chief Surveillance Officer, Tamba Alpha, dispelled rumors that there is one confirmed Ebola case at the ETU in Foya.

He said the last suspected Ebola case at the center was recorded on October 24, adding that since then, no new case has been recorded.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Mr. Alpha made the disclosure Friday during an Ebola coordination meeting held in Voinjama City, Lofa County.

The County Chief Surveillance officer used the occasion to thank the people of Lofa County and the Ebola Task Force for their robust response to eliminating the Ebola virus from the county.

Meanwhile, Alpha has cautioned citizens and residents of the county to continue to adhere to the Ebola preventive measures outlined by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
